A leading forestry company in Mpumalanga seeks an experienced Code 14 driver to transport timber from plantations and sawmills to customers across South Africa. Based in Nelspruit with routes to Gauteng, KZN, and occasionally Mozambique.
Specialised role requiring experience with heavy articulated vehicles and timber load dynamics. Routes include gravel forestry roads around Sabie, Graskop, and White River.

Responsibilities
Transport timber, logs, and processed wood from plantations to customers
Operate articulated timber trucks on highways and gravel forestry roads
Ensure loads are correctly stacked, chained, and secured per regulations
Navigate plantation roads safely including steep gradients and wet conditions
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of truck, trailer, and securing equipment
Complete trip sheets and delivery documentation
Comply with abnormal load permit requirements
Follow RTMS and company HSE policies
Requirements
Valid Code EC (14) licence with PrDP for goods
Minimum 5 years experience driving articulated trucks
Experience in forestry/timber transport preferred
Knowledge of abnormal load regulations
Ability to navigate gravel and forestry roads safely
Clean driving record
Physically fit
Qualifications
Grade 10 minimum. Valid Code EC (14) with PrDP. Forestry transport experience preferred. ADR certificate advantageous.
