We are looking for a reliable and experienced Steel & Metal Delivery Driver to join our logistics team in Johannesburg. You will transport steel beams, rebar, sheet metal, and heavy metal products from warehouses to construction sites and fabrication workshops across Gauteng.
This is a physically demanding role requiring strong knowledge of load securing for heavy and oversized metal products. Experience with crane-mounted trucks (Hiab/Palfinger) is advantageous.

Responsibilities
Collect steel and metal products from warehouses and supplier yards
Deliver steel beams, rebar, sheet metal, and pipes to customer sites across Gauteng
Secure all loads using chains, ratchet straps, and edge protectors per NRTA regulations
Operate crane-mounted trucks (Hiab) for loading/offloading where required
Complete daily vehicle pre-trip inspections per RTMS standards
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and trip sheets
Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes and delays
Report vehicle defects and accidents immediately
Requirements
Valid Code C1 (10) licence with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for goods
Minimum 3 years experience driving flatbed or crane trucks in steel delivery
Proven knowledge of load securing for heavy metal products
Experience operating Hiab or Palfinger crane attachments advantageous
Clean driving record — no major offences in past 3 years
Physically fit for manual loading/offloading
Good knowledge of Johannesburg and Gauteng road networks
Qualifications
Grade 10 minimum. Valid Code C1 (10) with PrDP (Goods). Hiab operation certificate advantageous. RTMS awareness training beneficial.
